Worli Koliwada | Illustrated Map

The Worli Koliwada Project is aimed at bringing awareness to the Worli Koliwada Area(in Mumbai) and its communities through the prism of food, as well as creating new sources of livelihood income to its inhabitants.
The northern tip of Worli, one of the seven islands of Mumbai, is home to the city’s original inhabitants - the ‘Koli’. They have lived here for centuries in what is described as a ‘Gaothan’ or a hamlet. The neighborhood is popularly known as the Worli Koliwada which is full of winding alleyways, colorful houses, and spirited people.
Dotted with jetties, temples, dargahs, and a church, Worli Koliwada also has its own age-old customs and traditional practices, making it a melting pot of cultures. And at the tip of this locality stands the Worli Fort. Despite being situated in one of Mumbai’s prime commercial and residential areas, the Worli Koliwada has preserved its old-world charm, complete with picturesque views of the Bandra Worli Sea Link, the Mahim Bay, and the city’s magnificent skyline offering views of mesmerizing sunsets.

From the rhythmic waves of the Arabian Sea embracing the coastline to the bustling fish markets echoing the lively spirit of the community, every detail is brought to life with vivid strokes and vivid colors.
What sets this map apart is the thoughtful inclusion of the myriad contributions made by the RPG Foundation, seamlessly integrated to create a deeper impact.
